Jon Berkeley

Purveyor of fine quality illustration since 1983

The group portrait above is a sixteen-foot oil painting on canvas, commissioned by Liam La Harte and Oliver Hughes for the 1996 launch of their flagship Porterhouse Brewpub in Dublin's Temple Bar. It still hangs there.
The models I roped in for this marathon painting include illustrators Roger O'Reilly, PJ Lynch, and Angela Clarke; designer James Carr, architect Patrick DeRoe, my Dad, sister in law and father in law, my better half Orna (at far right), and of course myself on the left, clutching my Oyster Stout as though it might disappear, which indeed it did.
Below is a selection of commissioned portraits and personal works.
Commissioning a portrait couldn't be simpler. Just get in touch via the form below, and I'll be happy to talk you through the options.
