Queen Theresa
This was originally commissioned as a cover for the New Statesman, by art director Erica Weathers
My initial sketch is a shade softer than the finished illustration, where I hope I captured Queen Theresa's unique brand of joyless smugness.
The illustration was bumped off the cover at the last minute by a change of lead article, but was used in this smart-looking spread in the subsequent issue.
