The Last Ice
This is an Illustration for the cover of La Revista. The Last Ice is an expedition mounted by Pepe Ivars, Albert Bosch and Pako Crestas to highlight climate change by visiting some of the last frozen lakes in the Northern Hemisphere. .
I produced two concept sketches for this cover. In the first I reflected the melting ice in the goggles of one of the expeditionaries. It was felt that this image could have a slightly militant feel. The second sketch was a clear favourite with the editorial staff.
The finished cover design was put together by Julia Burns.
